How to reveal a more radiant youthful skin

There are some things in life that are inevitable and ageing is most definitely one of them. As we age a lifetime of sun exposure and personal habits (smoking, alcohol consumption, use of sun-beds and dietary choices) catch up with us.

Combined with the natural ageing process where collagen production slows and gravity takes it toll, we soon see the signs of ageing.

From the age of 25 we are classed as having ‘mature skin’.

From your 30’s onwards it is very common to have visible fine lines and superficial sun damage, which gradually becomes more pronounced during the 40’s and 50’s. Eventually skin appears more uneven in tone, less smooth and tight than it once was and begins to wrinkle and sag.

As the summer months are now behind us now is the perfect time to peel our skin.
At the Anti Ageing Clinic we stock a range of peels, which use Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acids and Azelaic Acids. Thanks to the specific organic acids used their concentration in combination with the pH of the peeling products as well as the targeted application protocols, the Ameson Mesopeel series which we us is superior when it comes to meeting the needs and addressing the problems of the different skin types of our clients.

  • Skin Peels are ideal to treat:
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Uneven pigmentation
  • Blackheads
  • Chronic dry skin
  • Acne breakouts
  • Sun-damaged skin
  • Acne scarring
  • Rosacea

They are an ultra-effective treatment but if you’re like 99% of the population and a little bit scared and yet to try a peel read on!

What can I expect during the Mesopeel treatment?
Most individuals feel a stinging, itchy or prickling sensation. However, depending on your skins own sensitivity levels you may experience no irritation at all.

What can I expect in the days following my treatment?
The side effects after the treatment can range from mild flaking of the skin and/or mild redness.

Immediately your skin will look smoother, glowing, bright and soft.

The real magic, however, happens over the following 30-90 days when the new collagen is laid down and makes its way to the surface with the rejuvenated cells.

A course of 6 peels is recommended and frequency can be discussed with your practitioner depending on your skin type and concern.

Aftercare products will be recommended and daily use of an SPF (sunscreen) is an absolute must during and after your course of peels.
