Expect to find comforting firm favourites on the menu at Bill’s with some little twists that make the dishes sing.
Bill’s venue delivers a comforting vibe with an opulent setting that feels like you are in an enchanted adventurers’ room.
Meeting Bill at the opening of his new place was a bonus, I love the fact that he had handpicked every one of the trinkets, fixtures and fittings to each of his many restaurants across the country which adds a personal touch to the charm and warmth of the surroundings. Bills journey is an incredible journey of Inspiration. You can learn more about the man behind this impressive adventure – About Bill
Throughout the evening, we were offered a selection of drinks, from cocktails to delightful fine wine. All options were enjoyable and definitely would recommend them for anyone to try, and of course, there was mocktails and non-alcoholic beverages to choose from.
THE DRINKS
First up was ‘Shrub a Dub Dub’ a bit on the sweet side, then it was the ‘Manchester Tea Party’ which was very refreshing and easy to drink… would be good for the cocktail afternoon with friends, but the best one for me was the ‘Pineapple Express’ I loved it. They also serve a good selection of spirits with some exclusive local gins on offer.
STARTERS
Once all of us were seated we got offered a selection of starters from ‘Devilled Chicken Skewers’, ‘Rosemary, Butternut Squash with Hummus on Toasted Sourdough’, ‘Fried halloumi’, and also my personal favourite ‘Crispy Fried Vegetables’.
THE MAIN DISH
Next up was the main dish, as it was Wednesday I decide to go with the special of the day ‘Pan-Fried Salmon – with long stem broccoli, herb rosti with a smokey tomato mayonnaise’. All tasted delicious and on-point.

DESSERTS
To finish, we were presented with what I can only describe as ‘the best desserts’ by far in Manchester. ‘Warm Triple Chocolate Brownie’, ‘Spiced Pear, Raspberry Eton Mess’ and ‘Warm Apple and Salted Caramel Doughnuts’, all with a unique twist. All divine and hard to resist.

I must say on a whole everything I had was pretty great. The food is good, healthy, seasonal and indulgent. Casual but somewhat unique at the same time. The food plates are fun, vibrant, wholesome and portion sizes are good.
The restaurant provides a Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner menu and I would recommend to anyone at any time of the day, whether you’re catching up with friends, or wanting a family meal, Bill’s in Spinningfields, is definitely worth a visit.
Watch out for their amazing special offers.
