This week a girl’s trip to Bath with fun and games with Augmented Darts, the Perfect Pizza, Fabulous Sushi and Sashimi and an amazing hotel and spa experience.

Boon Battle Bar Bath
We went to Boon Battle Bar Bath, it’s somewhere I’ve heard about but never visited before. I was really excited to go there.

I went with my friend Larissa. There was so much to choose from, including axe throwing, Crazier Golf, augmented reality darts, pong, shuffleboard and so much more.
We chose golf, shuffleboard and darts. We started off with darts which I don’t think I’ve played since I was 10. We had so much fun; if you checked out my Instagram stories you will see I was doing dance routines at the same time.
It’s really super cool, uses combined state-of-the-art technology and has multiple game modes too. It certainly kept us entertained, so much so that we didn’t want to go on to the next activity as we were having so much fun.
Then we went onto the shuffleboard, which was pretty snazzy. It’s made from the finest Canadian Sugar Maple wood. There’s a certain technique to shuffleboard which took us a while to get our heads around but once we did we started to really enjoy it.
Finally onto Crazy Gulf although they call it Crazier Golf. I can see why because there are catapults, loops and conveyors, they have it all and kept us busy up to midnight.
A big shout out to the staff Megan and Sean who were so friendly and welcoming. They couldn’t do enough to help which made the experience really good fun. Even going to the toilet is fun as when you enter you press a red button. You wonder what’s going to happen but then the room bursts into music and disco lights.
I would really recommend it if going on a hen party or girls night out or just meeting up with friends. The whole experience is really quite unique. They have venues all over England. You should check out their website to book a thoroughly entertaining evening.
Pizza Time in Bath
So we were looking for somewhere to go for a really nice lunch after we had been to the Roman baths as we were feeling very peckish.

We decided to go to Bosco Pizzeria which is centrally located. When we arrived we were greeted straight away by the incredibly helpful staff and they gave us a nice window seat
Now I really know my Pizza and know a good one when I see one. I have to say that my expectations were high as I’d heard good things about the restaurant. I ordered the Bosco Pizza ( Fior di latte mozzarella, parmesan, tomato, olive oil & basil) and it was absolutely delicious. Check out the photo as I didn’t really know how big it would be or if I could make it through it although I just about did. I also ordered a lovely Romaine salad and fried potatoes to go on the side. For desert we were spoilt for choice. They had Cannoli, with Sweet ricotta chocolate and pistachio, it was absolutely delicious.
If you are in the area and looking for a really nice pizza or a nice little lunch at the weekend, this is certainly the place to pay a visit. It’s a lovely relaxed atmosphere and we came away feeling really, really good.

The Gainsborough Bath Spa Hotel
This week I went on a mini adventure and visited the Historic City of Bath with my friend Larissa. I love going away on girly trips and taking some time out of my busy schedule.
We stayed at ‘The Gainsborough Bath Spa’ which is a luxury hotel situated in the heart of Bath. It’s location is a huge plus and is walking distance from train station.

On arrival we were so impressed with the beautiful look of the hotel which occupies two Grade II listed buildings with distinguished Georgian and Victorian facades in the heart of the world heritage site. We were greeted by two concierge who took our bags and kindly welcomed us, this was followed by a swift check in and a complimentary upgrade to a luxury duplex room which was absolutely perfect for my friend and I which meant we could still have our own space whilst being able to chat and get ready together.
When we entered the room we were blown away by just how grand the room was. Consisting of two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a lounge area, it was just perfect!

When we returned to our room after a lovely evening out we found that the room had been turned down for the evening beautifully and we even had a little surprise in the way of a sleep gift consisting of a lavender flower and Elemis products! Wow!
After a perfect nights sleep (the beds were so comfy!) we headed down for breakfast which is held in a beautiful restaurant filled with fresh flowers and after ordering off of the ‘cooked breakfast’ menu it was time to explore the grand breakfast buffet which consisted of fresh juices, fruit, pastries, yogurts, cereal, cold meats and bread. It had everything you could wish for. I ate mainly from this buffet whilst Larissa opted for the full English breakfast off of the cooked breakfast menu and a cappuccino. It set us up so nicely for another full on day exploring the City.
When staying at this hotel the moment you walk through the front doors you will leave the stress of the outside world behind and you will be sure to love the attention to detail, the modern yet traditional decor and the exquisite service from all of the staff. Special mention to Tallulah from reception.

If you’re thinking staying in Bath I couldn’t recommend ‘The Gainsborough’ more highly. Thank you for having us!
On our second day in Bath Larissa and I visited the ‘Thermae Bath Spa’ and it was wonderful.
Bath is famous for it’s naturally occurring hot springs and has drawn in millions of visitors from all over the world for thousands of years.
It’s amazing to think that the Celts and Romans were bathing in these waters 2000 years ago.
The mineral- rich waters average at around 35.5 degrees and through the years have been used for medicinal purposes. Although the original ‘Roman Baths’ are now a museum open to the public to view, the opportunity to bathe in the waters is not lost as we were invited to take a tour around the ‘Thermae Bath Spa’.

Set over three floors including a open air rooftop pool, Minerva Bath and a multi- sensory wellness suite the spa is a fabulous retreat. We met with the lovely Alison bright and early who gave us an exclusive tour around the whole spa before opening time which was magical! We were shown all the facilities and given a brief history of Bath itself and the hot springs, It was fascinating!

Then it was time to try the spa out for ourselves. It was such a beautiful and relaxing experience, the highlight had to be sitting in the roof top pool over looking Bath’s spectacular views. The water really does leave your skin feeling so different and without that nasty chlorine smell. Both Larissa and I left feeling brand new and our skin so soft.

This is a must see for all visitors.
Japanese food with style and elegance
During our visit to Bath we visited the highly anticipated restaurant ‘Robun’

Described as a celebration of authentic Japanese food and drink, we couldn’t wait to dine there.
As we entered, the first thing that caught my eye was the striking artwork on the walls, which included a mural of a Geisha Girl.
The decor is also fantastic, traditional yet sophisticated and stylish all at the same time. We were so happy that we had made an effort getting dressed up and had a great feeling about the evening ahead.
We were warmly greeted and taken to our table and were quick to order some mock tails to start which were so refreshing and looked fabulous! We then had a look at the menus and ordered off of the ‘Taste of Robun’ sampling menu which consisted of Citrus Edamame, Japanese wagyu beef tataki, Omakase sashimi & sushi set, miso soup, Black cod, Kimchee fried rice, vegetable kakiage and for dessert black truffle chocolate torte.

The whole meal was presented so beautifully and it honestly tasted better than it looked…if that’s possible! We even tried some Sake a traditional Japanese wine.

We absolutely loved our dining experience at ‘Robun’ and would highly recommend the versatile restaurant for any occasion whether that be a celebration or casual meal out just because. The atmosphere was so chic, yet friendly and we were blown away by the most amazing service from all of the staff especially the lovely Aga.
Well that’s it for this weeks special bath edition. Now its Telly time and I’m going to leave you with two recent shows, The Choir Of Man cast on let Saturdays show and Mark The Beast Labbett from a couple of weeks ago. See you next week.
