The enchanting stage adaptation created from the much-loved movie and book features exquisite dancing, magic and live music, including the memorable classic Walking in the Air.

The family favourite follows the tale of a young boy’s adventures when his snowman on Christmas Eve comes to life. Starring a dazzling array of colourful characters including dancing penguins, a stunning snow princess, with her wicked beau Jack Frost and of course, Father Christmas, The Snowman is the perfect Christmas treat for the family and an excellent introduction to dance for the very young.

Inspired by the movie, directed by Dianne Jackson and produced by John Coates, The Snowman has become a firm favourite Christmas activity, “guaranteed to melt the heart of even the most cynical Scrooge” (The Guardian). Choreography by Robert North, direction by Bill Alexander, design by Ruari Murchison, lighting by Tim Mitchell and music classics and lyrics by Howard Blake, a performance that has been viewed by millions.

The Snowman is visiting the Opera House as part of the UK and international Tour.
